The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Production Planner, to join our team based in the south side of Glasgow.

The role is Monday - Friday with the opportunity for flexible working patterns over 5 days.

Role Description

To load and maintain shop floor planning & scheduling system as per customer requirements, ensuring company delivery performance standards are achieved or exceeded.

Essential Experience & Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Loading Management

2. Customer Schedule Downloads

3. Manage Customer Forecasts

4. Customer Plant Op Offload Management

5. Production Planning (Rotatives / Prismatic)

6. Load & Capacity Ownership

7. Inspection Scheduling

8. Prismatic / Rotatives Planning Oversight

9. Supply forging schedules to suppliers

Qualities:

Self-starter and self-managing Structured, rigorous, consistent, standard diary, process focused approach Able to maximise personal effectiveness through a lean approach and by continuing optimising planning process through continuous improvement An effective and confident communicator Be flexible, dependable and willing to go that extra mile for the customer and company A champion of excellent customer service Actively identifies, implements or escalates opportunities to streamline operations and reduce cost Background or intimate knowledge in production planning and Load & Capacity

Desirable Experience

Knowledge of lean practices. Good PC skills.
