Production Planner

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within our Planning and Logistics team in the role of a Production Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating production schedules to meet customer demands, optimise manufacturing efficiency and ensure the timely delivery of products. You will play a key role in balancing supply and demand, minimising downtime, and supporting quality and cost targets.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Fridays 8am to 4pm.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop & maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts & inventory levels.

Collaborate with the production, development, procurement & sales teams to ensure efficient material flow & resource allocation.

Monitor daily production performance & adjust plans as needed to address bottlenecks, machine breakdowns, or supply chain issues.

Coordinate with the moulding team to prioritise tooling & machine setup based on production needs.

Analyse production capacity & identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Maintain accurate records of production data, work orders & inventory usage.

Ensure compliance with quality standards & production specifications.

Communicate effectively with internal departments to manage changes in schedules & priorities.

Support continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will:



Have proven experience as a production planner/scheduler with proficiency in production planning software (e.g. ERP/MRP systems such as Winman, SAP, Oracle or similar).

Have excellent analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changes quickly.

Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Be an excellent team player with effective communication & interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with others.

Be able to multitask, prioritise & work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Be honest, reliable & accountable.

Be hard-working with a positive 'can do' attitude.

Be conscientious with a sharp eye for detail & a pride for delivering excellence consistently.

Be innovative in exploring better ways of working & using their own initiative to find solutions.

Experience within a plastic moulding or related manufacturing environment is desirable.
