This is an exciting new role, to join the Supply team as an additional Production Planner, to be based in Leeds at our Head Office production site.

Purpose of the role:



You will be responsible for ensuring products manufactured by Country Style are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications. You will ensure that goods are ready to distribute to customers in a timely fashion and the production and distribution of our products runs smoothly, while contributing to improving our production and distribution processes.

Key Accountabilities:



Responsible for daily and weekly production plans across our sites. By liaising with key areas of our business you will be responsible for ensuring our customer's orders are fulfilled, in full and on time. Produce daily and weekly production plans for several production sites across the company Review customer orders to ensure that these can be fulfilled, by considering several factors including stock, order volume, capacity, delivery time Produce statistical reports on efficiencies of production from sites, showing previous site efficiency to support analysis and development Excellent communication and direct contact with our customers to discuss their orders and enable you to accurately forecast delivery Liaise with our Production/Factory Managers to ensure that your production plans efficiently utilise the resources available Regular communication with our agreed storage and haulage suppliers to ensure that deliveries are made to the agreed timescales Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using SAP and other ERP systems to meet customer demands and optimise resource utilisation. Monitor production progress, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions promptly. Analyse production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements through continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and scheduling changes. Support assembly line planning by scheduling work orders and ensuring availability of materials and components. Assist in implementing quality control measures to uphold product standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:



Proven experience with SAP or other ERP systems in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of supply chain principles and production planning processes. Knowledge of mechanical systems, assembly processes, and process improvement methodologies. Experience with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or Six Sigma is desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines. Good communication skills to liaise across departments and coordinate activities efficiently. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and implement process enhancements. Previous experience in quality control or chilled food manufacturing knowledge is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute towards streamlining manufacturing operations whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement within a dynamic environment.

Essential:



Food Manufacturing experience within a chilled sector Strong IT skills, particularly utilisation of Microsoft Excel to a high level. Ability to effectively manage individual workload, under pressure and to a high degree of accuracy. Flexible approach to work Full open Visa status
