Production Planner



Wiltech Acoustics have a vacancy for a proactive and Production Planner to join our team.

The Role:



As a

Production Planner

, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the entire production process, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your role will involve planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities, liaising with the sales, engineering, and workshop teams to optimise workflow and ensure the seamless delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced industrial environment and will be highly organised, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and manage detailed production schedules, ensuring that all work is completed on time and in line with customer requirements. Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to ensure the smooth transition of orders from the design phase to production. Coordinate the availability of materials, tools, and personnel to meet project timelines. Monitor production progress and address any potential delays or issues, providing updates to senior management as necessary. Maintain and update production records, including inventory management and job tracking. Assist in the forecasting of material requirements and work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of components. Liaise with the workshop team to ensure that jobs are progressing efficiently and in line with health and safety regulations. Manage the flow of information between departments to ensure all teams are informed of project timelines, changes, and requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure that all work is completed to the required quality standards and in compliance with Wiltech's safety and environmental policies.

The Person:



We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in production planning, preferably in a workshop or industrial setting, and will be able to work well under pressure while ensuring the successful completion of multiple projects.

Skills and Experience:



Previous experience in production planning or scheduling, ideally in a workshop or industrial environment. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and suppliers. Familiarity with materials management and inventory control. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand technical specifications. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. Strong IT skills, including experience with production planning software or ERP systems. An understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. A background in acoustics or similar industries is desirable but not essential. A good understanding of the manufacturing process, from fabrication through to installation, is beneficial.
