The Role




The role is key to balancing factory production whilst ensuring that the customer demands are met and OTIF levels are maintained to a high standard, you will be reporting to the Planning and Capacity Manager.


Key responsibilites of the role include:


Schedule and Optimise production throughput Adapt the planning process to prevailing sales and production climates to maintain excellent service to customers Accurately and speedily prepare clear meaningful, unambiguous product documentation Schedule plans to minimise waste, setup time and machine waiting time whilst ensuring the customer demands and deadlines are met Read, understand and communicate forward load and advise team leaders of required manning levels Combine orders to maximise corrugator output Forecast demand and maintain paper stocks to within agreed paraments, whilst ensuring continuity of supply Liaise with Sales Support, Despatch and Transport planning to coordinate order availability versus delivery requirements

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the following:


Methodical in planning and be able to achieve goals through teamwork Displays use of initiative, accuracy, flexibility, people skills, team working Creative Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail, reliability A proactive 'can do' attitude with the ability to be firm when required Strong working knowledge of Production Planning Systems Excellent knowledge of corrugated production methods Experience of managing the expectations of customers Willingness to learn Strong interpersonal skills Inquisitive and analytical Adaptable and flexible
