How will you make an impact?



The Production Planner will be responsible for providing support throughout all aspects of the planning function to ensure efficient and smooth running of the production process. Additionally, they will provide a high level of administration to successfully achieve company objectives and be willing to deputise the Planning Lead when required.

Roles & Responsibilities:



Supporting in the maintenance and review of the Master Production Schedules to meet customers' orders, provide short and long-term forecasts to ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource utilisation. Analyse production data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of production plans and make data driven decisions. Support & actively contribute to the Sales, Operations and Planning (S&OP) process ensuring a collaborative approach. Act as a liaison between various departments in the business including Production, Supply Chain and Commercial to coordinate and communicate changes in production schedules and priorities. Work order maintenance - Release new weekly works orders, action changes, complete returns, quantity changes, input serial numbers and production permit details. Participate in departmental continuous improvement projects, identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the planning function. Ensure that production plans adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements, working closely with the Operations and Quality Assurance teams. Ability to communicate throughout all levels of the business including stakeholders when required. Monitoring of Planning/Production KPI's. Carrying out ERP system updates, ensuring data is accurate for capacity planning including weekly work in progress updates. Support/conduct general planning activities including capacity planning and rescheduling when required. Ensure maintenance of operator details in the Company's ERP system. Respond swiftly to demand signal movements and material input changes. Ensure constant alignment between the Line of Balances (LOBs) and ERP system. Analyse production & commercial data to create/support departmental decisions.

Experience, Knowledge and Education:



Proven experience in Production Planning/Scheduling manufacturing environment. (Essential) Previous experience working with KPI's and KPI reporting. (Essential) Experience using ERP systems (EFACs and/or Epicor is preferable) (Essential) Previous experience working within an aerospace environment and planning department. (Desirable)

Skills and Abilities:



Strong Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using planning and scheduling software/tools and ERP software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively throughout all levels of the business. An organised, logical and pragmatic approach to problem solving. Great attention to detail. The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and deliver results to a defined deadline.
