The Role
A vacancy has arisen for a Production Planner at our factory in Swansea. Reporting to Operations Manager you will be responsible for planning production cells and scheduling component deliveries to meet customer demand and stock holding requirements.
Key tasks:
Interpreting sales orders and agreed stock holding and develop efficient Production Plans, utilising MRP system.
Liaison with Production staff to ensure labour requirements are in place to meet schedule
Liaison with Sales team to agree future customer forecast & demand
Create Schedules and call of orders for component suppliers.
Review overdue supplier orders
Monitor and optimise value of component stock holding.
Assist in Overall factory wide planning (Master scheduling)
Liaise with Warehouse and despatch teams to ensure on time and efficient delivery schedules
Key Skills
Ideally 3-5 years' experience in similar Role
Knowledge of MRP
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to act on changes to demand pattern and plan accordingly
A team Player and willing to 'role sleeves up' when necessary.
