As a Planner, you will be a methodical and logical thinker have a flexible & proactive approach. You will take a lead role in the planning of production & assembly. Ensuring the correct materials have been ordered by purchasing & delivered on time to ensure smooth production. You will be an integral part of The London Mint Office operations team.
The Planner will be working in an environment where multiple projects run concurrently within the business & a flexible, can-do approach is a must. You will be responsible for, reviewing material requirements, raising purchase requisitions for materials, scheduling of assembly orders using SAP & providing information on the status of the plan to various department team members. Working with supply & production teams to ensure deadlines are met. Providing weekly update reports on projects progress.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining a Production Plan
Product creation & managing the BOMs
Daily use of the MRP system
Monitoring & ordering materials to the correct quantity & timeline
Ensuring orders are not delayed due to material shortages
Working with and adhering to daily/weekly KPI's
Working with Production, Supply and other key stakeholders
Knowledge & Experience:
The successful candidate will be a logical, practical thinker & have the following capabilities, knowledge & experience, although full training will be provided.
Experience of MRP systems ideally SAP is desirable but not essential
Knowledge & experience of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
Ability to challenge the status quo to achieve a culture dedicated to continuous improvement
Ability to work to deadlines & flexibility to see it through
Excellent time management & prioritization skills
Ability to communicate well across different levels
