to join the team at our food manufacturing site near Willand. This role is an essential link between Team Leaders and the Production Manager and will have a direct impact on company performance and team satisfaction.
The successful candidate will play a key role in influencing product quality, service levels, waste reduction, team morale, and customer satisfaction. The position involves interaction with multiple departments and requires a broad range of practical skills and knowledge.
The primary responsibility is to act as a bridge between the Production Manager and Team Leaders, ensuring that all departments operate efficiently and effectively. The role also includes supporting the Production Manager with daily production planning and forecasting to ensure that products and orders are supplied on time and in full. This will be a factory-based role, with additional time spent in the production office handling planning, ordering, stock control, and related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily
planning and forecasting
of production.
Organize and coordinate the resources required to meet production targets.
Ensure
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
is consistently applied.
Monitor staff well-being and take appropriate action to address any issues affecting team cohesion.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork by Team Leaders.
Support training of new staff and provide refresher or updated training to existing staff as needed.
Liaise with all departments to ensure products remain
safe, legal, and compliant
.
Promote and nurture the company culture, as communicated by the Senior Leadership Team, within your team.
Requirements
Previous experience in the food industry is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in both factory and office environments.
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 05:00 am - 1:00 pm
