The Production Scheduler ensures customer orders are delivered on time by planning and optimising glass cutting, toughening, and gel filling processes. The role balances capacity, materials, and resources while keeping close communication with operations, logistics, and customer service. A key focus is on efficiency, waste reduction, and providing clear visibility of production status.
Your main duties will include:
Schedule production to satisfy customer demands and achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
Optimise and plan:
-Glass cutting (including nesting and yield optimisation),
-Glass toughening,
-TPS and GEL stations.
Balance workload across machines, shifts, and resources to maximise capacity utilisation.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw material and consumables availability aligned with production needs.
Monitor WIP and production priorities, including remakes, missing scans, missing glasses, and liaise with kitting, supervisors, and logistics.
Prepare work orders, labels, and production paperwork in line with ERP/system requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date schedules in ERP, ensuring visibility of backlog and order status.
Prepare despatch and packing plan in collaboration with logistics.
Provide daily updates on production status, highlighting risks and advising of any delays in a timely manner.
Raise red flags immediately and support recovery or contingency plans to minimise impact on OTD.
Attend and contribute to morning, mid-day, and end-of-day production review meetings.
