Shift Manager Bridge of Allan

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Manager to join our existing production team at our dairy in Bridge of Allan. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be entrusted with a high degree of independence and have a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards our ever-growing business.

Responsibilities

The role of the Shift Manager is to effectively lead and manage the production facility and resources on shift to meet our customer requirements. Plan and anticipate future challenges, providing solutions as needed to meet production schedules. Ensure production is run in a cost-effective manner, by reducing waste, improving housekeeping, and increasing productivity. Analyse data relating to the performance of the production department and provide solutions Develop, coach staff and train staff within the team. Work in close relationship with the other Shift Managers, Supervisors, Engineers and Technical team. Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, working with the Health and Safety manager as needed.
The successful candidate will ideally be from a manufacturing background and will have proven experience as a first line manager. You must be a proven problem solver who uses data and their initiative to resolve operational issues and drives continuous improvement.

Preferably candidates will hold a level 2 HACCP certificate, Intermediate Food Hygiene, IOSH Managing safely certificate and experience of Lean Manufacturing.
