Our

Production Shift Manager

role is not just about leading a diverse shift of around 150 people, but also involves prioritising and implementing production plans to deliver targets, managing costs and efficiencies, monitoring food quality and safety and health and safety/risk assessments.

Our Production Shift Manager reports into our Production Manager and is responsible for many aspects of the day to day running of the department. Team Managers report into the Shift Manager, supporting them to do this.

We are looking for proven experience in ;



People Management in a leadership position Planning and organisational skills, and the ability to cope with a highly demanding target driven environment Recruiting, conducting annual appraisals, probation & performance reviews, disciplinary and absence related formal meetings Clear and effective communication skills Food or similar manufacturing/production Food Safety & Hygiene Use of best practice and continuous improvement skills to ensure operational and quality targets are achieved/exceeded Managing unexpected challenges and changes in priority Effectively utilising coaching skills to develop others

Hours of Work

: Rotation dayshift, backshift and every second weekend.

(occasional nightshift working may be required during peak production times).

Salary:

starting at 40,000 per annum, depending on experience (paid monthly on 28th).
