We are seeking a dedicated Shift Manager to join our team. The Shift Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure efficient workflow, and maintain quality standards in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure your team embrace and follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Always deliver a food safe and high-quality product by rigorously applying Process and Food Safety Control measures with completion of documentation in full, first time, every time.
- Follow plans to ensure achievement of Production objectives.
- Drive performance in labour, productivity, yield, & customer service to meet or exceed targets.
- Review and where required, address trends with your team using the SIC & T1 meeting structure.
- Provide leadership, support, & development to staff, increasing knowledge, sharing best practice, and ensuring professional standards are met.
- Set high personal standards and cascade them down through your team.
- Understand, and be part of a team that deliver, departmental and support business budgets.
- Involvement in effective root cause analysis to minimise negative trends in performance.
- Promote the lean manufacturing journey, ensuring continuous improvement actions are being identified and actioned throughout the meeting processes and learnings books.
- Provide clear and concise communication to all your team members.
- Understand your internal customer/supplier relationships and develop relationships to support.
Knowledge, Competence, Experience and Qualifications Required
- You will be an experienced Production professional possessing strong leadership skills to deliver targets and objectives.
- Possess knowledge and experience in: Lean Manufacturing and Leadership Development.
- Demonstrate a track record of team building and partnering with a senior management team to identify & implement improvements that enhance production performance and results.
- Have strong, clear communication and team working skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
- You can deal with conflict in your team and understand when to escalate.
- You'll have a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical awareness.
- Food Safety, Quality and excellent Customer Service are high on your agenda.
- You will have spent a considerable proportion of your career in a food manufacturing/FMCG environment, operating at Senior Team Leader level or above.
- A high level of knowledge and understanding of food safety requirements.
- You will need to have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and be able to drive changes in a continuous improvement culture.
Shift for this position is Thursday, Friday, Saturday and alt. Wednesday 6am-6pm
