Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of food production processes, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities



Supervise and coordinate daily operations on the production floor. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP standards. Monitor production processes to maintain quality control and efficiency. Train and mentor staff on best practices in food safety and production techniques. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning. Handle any mechanical issues that may arise during shifts, utilising mechanical knowledge. Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report any discrepancies. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Skills



Strong understanding of food safety protocols, including HACCP. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Proficient in basic maths for inventory management and production calculations. Experience in food production environments is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
