The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operational efficiencies and timely delivery production of all products. This role involves managing a team of production operatives and ensuring that all operational activities run smoothly. The position requires strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills to ensure a seamless operation.
Key tasks will include but are not limited to:
Assisting the production management team in co-ordinating, encourage and support all operatives to maximise productivity and meet order targets following management's instructions
Prioritise tasks and assign to the team ensuring an adequate distribution of workload
Support the daily production operations, ensuring production requirments are completed in a timely manner
Prioritise urgent production needs and allocate resources appropriately to meet customer demand
Monitor compliance ensuring that products and processes comply with relevant industry standards and company procedures
Conduct regular spot checks on selected batches to proactively identify any errors or discrepancies before they are released to despatch team such as labelling being correct and suitable for its purpose
Completing relevant paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Take part in the training of new staff members within your team
Monitor inventory and stock levels
Liaise with and effectively communicate with various departments especially the Stock & Maintenance, Despatch and Customer Service team in regards to production requirements and promotional offers
Ensure inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained well
Daily communication with the Management team and report any discrepanices and eslate any issues
Promote health and safety regulations within the workplace and ensure the team wear appropriate PPE at all times
Be fully flexible to assist in other departments according to the needs of the business along with additional hours outside of core during peak periods
Undertake any other duties as required, that are within the competence of the post
