Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR working on a permanent NIGHT SHIFT to join the team of a BILSTON based powder coating business.

Core hours : Mon to Fri, 7pm to 4am plus overtime

Basic Salary : Entirely dependent on experience and discussed at interview but anticipated circa 29,000- 33,000

Review : After completing 3 months propagation

Overtime : Plenty - this position attracts upwards of 15,000 pa overtime

As the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR duties & responsibilities will include:

Manage a team of 12 within a busy production environment. Ensure efficient machine & staff utilisation to achieve the production plan Maintaining Production volumes & product quality Promote safe working practices & observing Health & safety requirements Escalating disciplinary issues which might arise within the team
The successful PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR will be able to demonstrate that they have:

Previous experience in a powder coating, paint spraying or metal finishing environment. Other manufacturing process experience may be considered if you have strong supervisory management experience. Supervised teams within a production environment Successfully dealt with shop floor related people issues Driven teams to achieve daily and weekly production quotas and targets A sound understanding of shop floor health & safety & safe working practices
