Scope of Role

Bawnbua Foods is a leading food processing company of Chilled and Frozen products, who supply leading retail businesses such as Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Iceland in the UK and Ireland.

The purpose of this role is to support the management team towards achieving maximum production efficiency and product quality; to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene procedures. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety, and Integrity.

Key Responsibilities

To supervise staff on a production line to achieve overall production efficiency and to ensure that production targets are met per order. To control packaging, labels, etc, and sign off required documents. To observe department stock rotation and controls. To deal with quality / process issues. To ensure that production records are accurately completed. To investigate staff personnel issues at ground level such as timekeeping and work performance and to report any issues to the department management team. To ensure that appropriate Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene procedures are always implemented. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity. To undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of the role.

Person Specification

Essential

Basic level of both verbal and written English. Computer Literate.

Desirable

Health and Safety Cert. Level 2 Food Safety.
