Job Summary

We are a UK leading manufacturer of paper packaging products.
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Production Supervisors to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring quality standards are met, and optimising workflow efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of mechanical processes, as well as proficiency in using production line machinery.

Duties

Supervise daily production activities to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Learning machine set ups (full training given). Assemble products as part of the production team using various production machinery, ensuring precision and quality in every task. Train and mentor production staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as necessary to meet deadlines. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to maintain operational efficiency. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and resolve any production issues. Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands on, shop floor role working on the production line. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate production machinery effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to lead a team, motivate employees, and manage conflicts effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a production setting is advantageous. Forklift truck licence preferable, not imperative.
