We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, ability to read and understand detailed construction drawings and the ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Manufacture of SIP Panels using various pieces of machinery (Saws, Routers, Spindle Moulders, Power Tools ETC)
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient workflow.
Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet targets.
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and tools, ensuring they are maintained in good working order.
Assemble products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to optimise production efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production output and report on performance metrics.
Enforce health and safety regulations within the workplace.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
Previous experience in woodworking / panel manufacture would be advantageous.
