Job Summary



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience of managing a large team within a manufacturing environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Production Supervisor will lead a team, manage workflow, and ensure efficient assembly processes within the warehouse environment.

Duties



Identify and implement policies and processes to improve business efficiency. Develop relationships with senior management to discuss and manage people challenged. Develop plans for recruitment, training, restructuring and succession; helping relevant staff implement them. Discuss with senior management business strategies, people plan to help the business. Coaching of line managers on ways to motivate their employees and lead more effectively. Provide regular reports, including analytic human resources metrics in comparison to key performance indicators, to the Board. Champion Continuous Improvement within the team, encouraging improvement ideas and participation. Apply company rules, policies and procedures. Ensure diversity and inclusion is embedded in all business activities and strategies. Actively drive Health, Safety & Environmental awareness within the team Challenge unsafe practices inside & outside of your won area of control. Assistance with further activities as delegated by designated manager.

Skills



IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) qualification. Must be able to obtain basic security clearance. Results driven and quality focused. Confident and able to communicate at all levels. Motivate, involve, and engage team members to deliver departmental objectives. Communicate and drive the Company culture and values. Encourages team working and leads by example. Experience of trouble shooting and problem solving Must be reliable, able to use own initiative and tolerate stressful situations. Must be capable of managing information, organising, and planning with an attention to detail. Continuous Improvement, zero defect and customer focused mindset. Good written and verbal communication skills Good level of numerical and analytical ability Computer literate.

Tods is a growing business, based on Portland and it is great time to join our workforce. The role is full time, offering 37 hours per week with the opportunity to work overtime once trained. In return we offer 25 days holiday + bank holidays and a company pension scheme.

We operate a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday.
