How will you make an impact?



The Production Supervisor will oversee the shop floor production operations and be responsible for the day-to-day management of production activities at the direction of the Directors. In addition, the Production Supervisor will work on improving employee efficiency to maximise production output, cost control, profits and ensure OTIF and RFT targets are met.

Roles & Responsibilities:



To enable NPI work through CNC machines and supporting functions in conjunction with the Engineering team. Drive a culture of continuous improvements and full processes in conjunction with the Project Manager and Engineering team. To ensure that production areas are run in a safe manner. Working with Operators on preparing risk assessments and complying with safe systems of work. To ensure housekeeping is aligned with company policy and Standard Work Instruction are available To ensure all employees adhere to company policies and quality manuals. To investigate any quality issues and ensure a Root Cause Corrective Action is carried out. Organise, plan, prioritise and allocate all work in your department and achieve targets and deadlines. Control daily production execution and efficiencies. To ensure daily TPM checks are completed and adhered to. Skills management by use of the skills matrix, running skills assessments and identifying skills gaps. Creating, implementing and verifying the training plans. Work closely with the Planning team to actively promote adherence to the production schedule. Liaise with the maintenance team and ensure equipment is working and in good repair. Ensure all operators adhere to daily schedules in line with manufacturing capacity and customer demands. To assist in evaluating new production equipment. Reports on team/individuals' performance. Make recommendations on ways to improve employee efficiency and reduce costs. Demonstrate creativity and diversity to deliver excellent customer service. Create and maintain a team environment culture and conductive communications within the department and cross-functional departments. Liaise and work closely with senior management to deliver scheduled orders and achieve delivery plans. Working with the People & Culture department on employee relations matters.

Experience, Knowledge and Education:



Previous experience in Manufacturing (Nuclear and Aerospace is desirable) Experience managing the daily and weekly production of a busy department. Able to demonstrate an excellent record of successful project planning and execution. (Desirable) Excellent leadership, organisational skills and the ability to multitask, including strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrable experience of managing people issues effectively together with a high level of emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal and communication skills. High level of analytical skills, and problem-solving ability Worked in a fast-paced environment - target driven and customer focused. Have previously worked with ERP systems. Awareness and knowledge of Health & Safety standards

Excellent and varied communication and presentation skills. Have strong mentoring and coaching skills. Be able to run, improve and implement strong processes within area of expertise. Have sound judgement and be able to demonstrate a good business understanding and use to evaluate information and advice on appropriate course of action. The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels with the ability to challenge when necessary. Highly computer literate with experience of managing databases, spreadsheets and information management databases. Embraces accountability, demonstrates on going resilience and the highest levels of integrity and professionalism. Ability to prioritise own and team workload, work to tight timescales and deal with interruptions. The ability to influence and persuade others, creating successful and effective working relationships through strong, positive interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and lead by example.
