Job Purpose:



To ensure all machines are kept productive by ensuring a constant supply of products are always available.

Primary Responsibilities:



Ensure area around machinery is kept clear of products and empty boxes are correctly stacked by machine neatly in line with BRC. Ensuring the correct colour bags are being used in the boxes. Ensure gangways and fire exits are kept clear of boxes and any other items at all times. Carry out PSO duties which includes stock checking and writing out daily log sheets and all other associated paperwork, including shortages. Carry out Reject co-ordinator duties which includes collecting and counting rejects, transferring to cages/dolavs and making up reject boxes if needed. Ensuring reject area is maintained and organise the removal of reject pallets efficiently and safely. Output and consume all pallets correctly, identifying any errors in the system and resolve any anomalies with production controller. Liaise regularly with warehouse personnel on stock availability. Eliminate any machine downtime by ensuring stocks are chased, including WIP, pallets and packaging requirements. Safe use of equipment, including pallet truck and shrink wrapper. Assist QCs to ensure all packaging is available and by the machine in preparation for any layer packing or other additional tasks. Organise stocks and materials for additional working hours in advance Ensure good accuracy and detail is maintained throughout all processes. Complete line clearance, removing all previous jobs overs, rejects and paperwork preventing cross contamination and stopping the wrong product going to the customer. Conduct verbal and written hand overs. Disposing of cardboard and broken pallets. Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, BRC, quality and environmental management.

Secondary Responsibilities:



Filling and emptying machine hoppers as required. Weighing and sealing full boxes and stack them onto pallets accordingly. Assisting staff packing on machines, removing full boxes and replace with empty boxes, replacing any damaged bags or boxes. If workload is slow, you may be asked to check and pack products The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description.
