Role Overview



The Production Team Lead is responsible for ensuring WAAM3D's production team delivers its

primary mission

: the successful

build, integration, testing, and delivery of WAAM3D systems

, including

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

and

Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

at customer sites worldwide. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on operational oversight, and continuous improvement to make system delivery more efficient, cost-competitive, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities



1. System Delivery - Build, Integration, FAT & SAT



Lead the Production Team in carrying out its main task: building, integrating, testing, and delivering WAAM3D systems. Ensure smooth execution of FAT in-house and SAT at customer sites, predominantly overseas. Coordinate resources, suppliers, and contractors to guarantee high-quality, on-time delivery of installations and services. Take ownership of customer delivery readiness, ensuring systems meet contractual and quality requirements.

2. Continuous Improvement of System Delivery



Optimise workflows, drive efficiency and cost competitiveness across all aspects of system delivery, including equipment modules, system integration, installation, and testing. Work with the supply chain and overseas vendors to enhance reliability, cost, and lead time performance. Establish feedback loops from FAT/SAT and project execution to refine standard processes and designs.

3. Team Leadership & Development



Lead, coach, and develop the Production Team to achieve excellence in daily operations and project delivery. Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff and contractors, maintaining up-to-date training records. Coordinate the recruitment of contractors to meet project demands while ensuring internal/external resource efficiency. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

4. Facility & Equipment Management



Oversee maintenance and servicing of facilities, infrastructure, and production equipment.
Manage building upkeep, repairs, and scheduled servicing (fire alarms, boiler, forklift, electrical systems, and lifting equipment).

Work with workshop manager and ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, repaired, and available to support production of systems and AM applications. Manage procurement and inventory control to ensure parts and materials are always available for production team related activities.

5. Health, Safety & Compliance



Represent the Production Team on the Health & Safety Committee and champion safe working practices. Lead risk assessments (RA) and establish robust SOPs for production team related activities. Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

6. Quality Assurance & Documentation



Maintain accurate, audit-ready records across production and delivery activities. Actively participate in quality assurance programmes and ensure compliance with company standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives by embedding lessons learned into processes and documentation.

Requirements



Essential



Proven experience in production, operations, or facilities management within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams. Solid knowledge of equipment maintenance, facilities management, and inventory control. Good understanding of compliance standards and H&S activities. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan resources and manage multiple priorities. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

Desirable



Experience with industrial robotics, welding systems, or additive manufacturing equipment. Experience coordinating projects and liaising with suppliers and contractors. Background in continuous improvement or quality assurance programmes.

Pay: 25,966.60-40,000.00 per year
