We're seeking an experienced Team leader to join our Computershare Communication Services team. We work in a "hands-on" role in an industrial setting - with large printing and enclosing machines. We're looking for someone who can grow, develop, and shape the team they work with, taking the opportunity to make a significant impact within the business.


You'll be a key member of the Operations management team, reporting directly to the Production Manager. Your role will involve coordinating and scheduling work, overseeing Operators, managing vendor relationships, ensuring the delivery of output meets daily volume targets, and maintaining quality assurance.

You'll be responsible for the efficient performance management of a communication distribution team, demonstrating safe working practices and ensuring H&S policies are adhered to. This role will collaborate with the production scheduler to optimise equipment and time to achieve daily dispersal of work to meet client requirements.


We are looking for someone who is happy to manually contribute to the operation of production to ensure timelines are achieved. Work with the team to ensure the production facility is kept clean and tidy, pro actively work with the Management team and Facilities team to ensure HSE standards are maintained. Ensuring quality products are produced 100% of the time in line with system and ISO procedural guidelines; highlighting all quality issues to the Production Manager as they arise. Ensure all machinery is in good working condition and integrity levels are periodically tested while achieving scheduled output figures in line with expectations.


Provide direction, leadership, and central focus for operators to ensure there is accurate, effective shift processing Take ownership of all production related queues as agreed Provide direction and leadership, prepare and hold regular staff 1-2-1 Highlight all non-conformances in line with process Assist in the setting and completion of performance reviews in line with company policy while driving innovation and transformation

Salary & Working hours

Working hours are on rotating shifts Monday to Friday: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. The salary goes up to 32,000, depending on experience. Applicants should reside within a reasonable commuting distance from our Bristol office located at Bridgewater Road, BS13 8AE.

What will you bring to the role?

Proven leadership experience managing a team within a manufacturing or production environment High degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail - previous experience of managing KPIs, schedules of work & team performance Previous ISO certification exposure would be a benefit but is not essential in this role Flexible approach to tasks, reevaluating processes and driving continuous improvement Strong written and verbal skills are essential, including the ability to interpret instructions, deliver team communications & highlight potential improvements to stakeholders The ability to liaise with 3rd party contractors, internal and external stakeholders Microsoft Office & bespoke planning system knowledge
