Dayshift & Nightshift Production Team Leaders

to join our dedicated Operations Team and help ensure we always deliver on our promise to customers and consumers.

The role



As the Production Team Leader, it's your job to support to plan, coordinate, lead and control our production team and processes to make sure we are providing the tastiest, highest quality products at the right time, in optimum quantities, at the best cost. It's also your job to make sure that our processes and systems run reliably and efficiently, productivity is consistently improved, and waste is kept to an absolute minimum.

You'll be based on-site at our Bakery in Harthill, located between Edinburgh and Glasgow just off the M8.

Dayshift 6am - 4.40pm Monday - Thursday

Nightshift 6am - 4.40pm Monday - Thursday

We want you to:



Understand and be able to implement our food production processes from start to finish, ensuring that all schedules are met and that you and the team are resilient and can flex to changing priorities at the drop of a hat!

Be our enthusiastic first point of contact for any employee or management questions in relation to the Production function.

Track best practices across the business and maintain a breadth of knowledge about current trends, emerging issues and opportunities to advance our production processes, communicating findings regularly across the various departments.

Provide a complete answer in response to production queries and concerns on a day-to-day basis. Take accountability, acknowledge mistakes, issues, and delays, and provide all relevant information accurately.

Develop and report on Production's key performance indicators, noting trends, issues, and patterns that will help us celebrate our successes and resolve our challenges.

Bring a fresh perspective on how best we can support the Production Team and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Always communicate kindly and respectfully with all members of the team.

1-2 years of leadership and management experience and the ability to shape, create and implement innovative food production plans and continuous improvements.

An excellent understanding of food safety, security, and compliance, including allergen awareness, along with extensive knowledge of BRC Food Safety Standards, Customer Audit Standards and Standards of Ethical Trading.

Experience of coaching and facilitating performance improvement that enables your team to feel confident that they know what is expected of them and that you are there to support them.

Food production 'savviness', you'll need to understand and be able to explain our free-from production methods, processes and systems inside and out.
