Summary of Duties:

As a Manufacturing Supervisor on a 2pm-10pm shift, you will play a crucial role in our team ensuring continuous production and preparing production for the next day. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing preparation, mixing, and handling of materials used in production. Your focus will be on ensuring smooth operations across all areas while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and production guidelines. Attention to detail, effective communication, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:



Manufacturing Machinery Operation:

Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment in compliance with safety guidelines and established procedures. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.

Material Handling & Safety:

Handle raw materials, components, and finished products using appropriate tools and equipment, following COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and Health & Safety regulations. Transport materials safely, including lifting and stacking, while ensuring accurate tracking of materials used in production. Maintain accurate records of materials used and products produced, alerting the Production Team Leader.

Weighing and Measuring Components:

Accurately weigh and measure raw materials and components required for resin products. Ensure that all materials are prepared according to production specifications, and any discrepancies are promptly reported.

Mixing and Production Process:

Carry out scheduled mixing of resin products as per instructions from the Production Team Leader. Record all product mixes accurately in the Operations Hub system, ensuring consistency in production.

Skills and Qualifications:



Previous experience in warehouse operations and/or manufacturing processes, preferably in handling chemicals or resin products. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety standards, particularly in chemical handling and warehouse operations. Experience in operating manufacturing machinery and performing routine maintenance. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, inventory management, and production processes. Ability to work collaboratively with other teams to meet production and warehouse goals. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Physical ability to lift and carry materials, stack pallets, and handle heavy goods safely.

Working Conditions:



This role requires manual handling, lifting, standing for long periods, and working with warehouse equipment and chemicals. The work environment is primarily based in a warehouse setting, with exposure to various chemicals and manufacturing machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when handling chemicals or operating machinery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in both warehouse and manufacturing environments, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.19-15.19 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
