Job Description
Vale Bridgecraft is a long-established British furniture manufacturer producing high-quality, handcrafted sofas and chairs. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Production Team Leader to join our factory team in Hebden Bridge.
This role involves leading a specific production area (Frames, Upholstery, Cutting/Sewing or Cushions/QC/Despatch), supporting workflow, maintaining quality, and helping the business meet its daily and weekly production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, support and organise the work within your production area Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship Identify issues early and resolve or escalate as needed Work closely with other Team Leaders to maintain overall factory flow Monitor downtime and help reduce delays Support daily and weekly production planning Maintain good housekeeping and follow Health & Safety procedures Train, guide and support team members Attend daily and weekly production meetings Report performance, challenges and improvements to the Managing Director
Requirements
Experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment Experience leading or supervising a small team Strong communication and problem-solving skills Practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure Good understanding of quality expectations Awareness of Health & Safety in a factory environment Positive attitude and willingness to drive improvements
Desirable Experience
Upholstery, frame making, fabric cutting, sewing or cushion filling Quality control processes
