Lead a Skilled Joinery Production Team in a Fast-Growing Manufacturing Environment

We are looking for an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee a small team within our busy joinery manufacturing workshop. You'll supervise around 4 production staff and ensure high-quality output across cutting, pressing, machining, lipping, and CNC processes.

This role is perfect for someone with strong joinery/manufacturing knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a small production team to achieve daily and weekly targets. Oversee workflow, allocate tasks, and ensure efficient use of machinery and materials. Maintain high standards of accuracy across cutting, machining, pressing, and assembly. Ensure all products meet strict quality requirements before leaving the department. Manage stock levels, forward planning, and procurement of materials. Keep equipment and workshop areas in safe, well-maintained working order. Follow production plans and instruction sheets, including working from basic drawings. Support training and development of team members to enhance skills and productivity. Attend production meetings and report on progress, challenges, and output levels. Maintain excellent health & safety standards for yourself and your team.

What We're Looking For

5+ years experience in a joinery or wood manufacturing environment (cutting, pressing, CNC, assembly, etc.) Previous experience leading or supervising a team. Strong organisational and workflow management skills. Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production instructions. Excellent communication and people skills. Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safe working practices. Experience with stock control, procurement, and forward planning.
