Due to continued growth, Gap Plastics wishes to add a Production Team Leader to our Knowsley Manufacturing site.

Working in production we are looking for a task focused individual who can take on the responsibility to support the Production Supervisor/Manager to plan and complete production; organising a team of Production operatives to efficiently and safely manufacture goods through production stages.

Main Responsibilities

All aspects of manufacturing; from plan to completion, supporting business needs by aiding production at varying stages of the process as required. Health and Safety/Environmental. Improving quality and methods standards Area housekeeping. Continuous improvement initiatives. & Training co-ordination. Maintain excellent two-way communication with Supervisors/Management Monitor and maintain excellent operational and quality standards Ensure SOPs are understood, maintained and followed. Ensure H&S/Environmental guidelines are adhered to at all times Organisation and briefing of teams. Ensure that production plans and scanning/system bookings are maintained whenever possible and process flow is efficient. Endeavour to achieve Department Productivity, Quality and Efficiency targets Assist in all aspects of group and individual training needs in accordance with the Department Training Matrix and training plans. Report and log all Health &Safety issues, accidents, Hazard Observations and report to Management. Ensure that all relevant production information is communicated to Production Operatives and ensure implementation of changes/process amendments

You:

Minimum of 2 years experience within a similar manufacturing environment, preferably PVC-u Good understanding of production processes, disciplines/ Health & safety standards Good computer literacy. Excellent attention to detail Full and clean driver's license Must have a positive, self-disciplined attitude, be able to think logically and communicate at all levels
