Production Shift Manager (Team Leader)

to join our production team and help manage day-to-day operations on the shop floor

Duties

As a

Team Leader

, you will be responsible for supervising a team of production operatives, ensuring smooth workflow, quality control, and adherence to health & safety standards. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve daily targets and maintain a high standard of service for our clients.

Supervise daily production activities to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Supervise and coordinate a team of laundry operatives on shift. Coordinate workflow between different departments to maximise efficiency and productivity. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues as they arise during production. Maintain accurate records of production output and report any discrepancies. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff Monitor production targets and ensure deadlines are met. Check quality of linen and ensure customer standards are maintained. Support training and development of new team members. Enforce health & safety and company procedures. Report any machine faults, staff issues, or production delays to management. Assist in hands-on production work when required.

Requirements

Bachelor in any technical area (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc) Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role preferred, but not essential. Basic Mechanical knowledge with hand-on experience preferred Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with daily targets. Flexible with working hours Basic IT knowledge Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead a team.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 33,000.00-40,000.00 per year
