Role Overview
You will lead a team and be responsible for the safe running of the Manufacturing Facility ensuring efficient production is maintained to the highest quality. You will be responsible for understanding the production plan requirements and ensuring adherence to it taking ownership of any issues and seeking an agile response and remedy. You will own the performance measures of your shift and wider team. You will drive high team performance, embracing all aspects of the culture and functional requirements, making continuous improvements and elevating us to the next level.
This role works a shift pattern of 2 days of 7am-7pm, 2 nights of 7pm-7am and 4 off.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team to ensure safe and efficient production operations.
Drive compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and accident investigations.
Maintain and update training plans and matrices for team development.
Provide regular performance feedback and manage team recruitment and attendance.
Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement and lead improvement projects.
Ensure production areas are clean, organised, and meet quality standards.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the shift.
Liaise with planning and technical teams to ensure production targets are met.
Oversee security of site, property, and products during shifts.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience working in manufacturing.
Previous experience managing a multi-skilled team.
Experience liaising with third-party suppliers and consultants.
Knowledge and experience of delivering safety metrics.
Highly computer literate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven record of delivering results within timescales.
Highly organised and able to manage own workload.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
