Production Team Leader

Location: Nairn

Job Type: Full Time, 5 days over 7 days, Shift work

Salary: 35,500 per annum

Assisting the Production Management team you will ensure the smooth running of the production lines. As a Production Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing production processes, managing teams, and ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports and assists the Shift Manager in the smooth running of the production area

Ensures all procedures are carried out in accordance with the Company Quality System

Ensure that tanks are filled with product as per the production plan to make sure that fillers can run at optimum efficiency.

Ensures product quality meets, or exceeds, specification

Ensures the production of products run efficiently and that staff are always supervised

Manages staff breaks.

Sharing technical knowledge with team members to improve their capabilities. Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours.

Utilises all available opportunities, enabling others to improve the way we do things

Working closely with the Technical department

Ensure good manufacturing practices are adopted at all times

Ensure staff adhere to company hygiene / quality standards at all times

To maintain effective communication channels with all members of the team.

Takes responsibility for the shift when the Shift Manager is not in the production area.

SKILLS AND EXPEREIENCE

Previous dairy experience preferred

Good general level of education preferably to HNC/HND standard in food technology and mechanical engineering or equivalent

People management experience

Multi-tasking

Creative problem-solving skills

Attention to detail

Computer literacy

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Shifts could start as early as 4am and finish as late as 10pm

Shifts are 9. 5 hours, with a 30 minute lunch break
No agencies.
