Job Description

It is the objective of the Production Team Leader to:

Ensure that the Company's products are produced in an effective, safe, and timely manner.
The Production and Packing teams have responsibility and authority to ensure the Quality System is implemented, maintained and is effective to achieve the goals of the company.

The Production and Packing teams have responsibility and authority to ensure:

- That relevant procedures are implemented and maintained
- That training is implemented, monitored, recorded and effective
- That resources are effectively deployed
- To ensure Right First-Time packaging of products in a timely manner.

They have the authority and responsibility to ensure that scheduled production is conducted in accordance with the product specifications and standard operating procedures. They have the authority and responsibility to ensure that all production and packing staff have received specific and effective training relating to the activities they are allocated.

Responsibilities:



To assist the Head of Department - Manufacturing to meet the demands of the schedule in a safe environment whilst managing rotation of teams for workload requirements. This will involve managing staff daily and to be able to quickly initiate changes to be adaptable where required to implement correct training and support as required.

Understanding of the Training system and job specific requirements relevant to the roles within the Production Team

Requirements:



Ensure that all operators working within the manufacturing area comply to Environmental Health and Safety requirements and the provision of PPE, ensuring that it is correct and in constant use where required.

Always adhere to and execute production steps as defined by work instructions, production records are to a GMP standards and protocols are met within a manufacturing and clean room environment in the manufacture of medical and non-medical products.

Ensure staff continue to accurately perform in-process quality checks for specific quality attributes to ensure all products meet the correct standards and customer requirements.

Ensure that all requirements of national and international standards and legislation are implemented and adhere to with respect to the department to include ISO 13485:2016, ISO9001:2015 and MDSAP (updates as applicable)

Ensure staff conduct all activities in a safe manner and in compliance with HSE requirements.

Facilitate regular manufacturing team briefings to confirm and advise the work schedule ahead.

Provide guidance & encouragement through physical and emotional support.

Prepare manufacturing and sample plan paperwork for materials required to the line for all production runs.

Prepare stock requests for Warehouse W.I.P Operator so lines can be always stocked for production runs.

Schedule work and teams as per the planning department schedules and take responsibility for assessing current workload, status of team members, and ensuring the fair distribution of workload. Raising any workload concerns with direct management

Able to redistribute workload to ensure all deadlines are met and request further support from the Manager where needed.

Issuing stocks and reporting completion or finished product using the SAP system for the final product release after all QC checks are completed.

Support the implementation of target setting for the lines.

Can deal with any immediate grievance or conflict on the lines.

Support with any validation work required for new and existing products.

Recognise updates required to work instructions or QPI's and confirm to Product Implementation to progress.

General support to the Head of Department - Manufacturing.

Qualifications:



Management Qualification or Management Experience essential

IOSH or alternative qualification in Safety and Health

Understanding of ISO13485 desirable

Manufacturing experience in medical devices desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 33,000.00-35,000.00 per year
