Job Description

Torbay Pharma are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join our team based in Paignton on a full time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous production experience, ideally from a cleanroom environment who is looking to join a growing business.





Hours: 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday on a rotational shift pattern between the hours of 6am and 10pm.



Please note - due to the nature of the products we produce, the successful candidate will be working in a controlled/cleanroom environment and be required to wear a high level of specialist cleanroom gowning and PPE.

About the Role





Reporting into the Production Supervisor, this is a hands on role in which you be responsible for the day to day supervision of a team of Production Technicians who are responsible for manufacturing pharmaceutical products within a cleanroom controlled environment.



You will have a great understanding of the wider production area and liaise with other Team Leaders regarding capacity and the needs of the team. You will set the standard for GMP principles whilst ensuring that our products are manufactured safely and to strict deadlines.





What you can expect in a Production Team Leader role at TP:



Day to day hands on supervision of the running of complex pharmaceutical filling lines and surrounding area


Working collaboratively with other Team Leaders to understand skills and needs of wider production


Formulation of complex pharmaceutical products


Setup and calibration of analytical equipment


Using terminally sterilising autoclaves


Training and mentoring of more junior members of staff


Dealing with escalations from the team


Liaising with other departments such as QA, Engineering, Warehouse and Labs


Liaising with other departments regarding production schedules, testing of samples, machinery faults and any other issues as necessary


Raising records on the EQMS


Setting the standard for GMP, ensuring team working according to GMP/ALCOA principles

What are we looking for:




Experience working within pharmaceutical manufacturing


Supervisory/team lead experience


Great communication/interpersonal skills


Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines


Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
