JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



Accountable for the safe operation of plant equipment and systems to ensure delivery of the business objectives, timely resolution of operational issues and enhancing the competency within their teams Accountable for the operation, control and monitoring of process plant and utility systems in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company's safety management system Demonstrate high standards of commitment to health, safety and the environment and will be an active company role model when interacting with vendors and contractors Contribute to continuous improvement in the safety and environmental performance of the installation through active involvement in risk assessments, audits, toolbox talks Maintain a firm understanding of the threat cyber attacks pose in both regular IT (information technology) and OT (operational technology / industrial automation) environments and the potential consequences of such attacks Safely and efficiently operate process equipment and utility systems within design parameters and in accordance with operating procedures and as directed by the Control Room Operator Carry out watch keeping duties to ensure integrity and stability of operation is maintained Devising and implementing safe isolation of processing equipment and systems for maintenance activities Safe and efficient reinstatement of process equipment and systems following shutdown or maintenance activities in full compliance with company policies and procedures Carry out first line operations fault finding and rectification in order to ensure safe and efficient operational delivery Raise corrective work orders which contain sufficient information of a quality which will allow ranking at the WORM Respond to process trips and unplanned equipment stoppages in a timely manner Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change Participate in root cause analysis activities to address production loss events and enable production protection and optimisation Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will safely increase efficiency in production, cost or time without loss of integrity Participate in competence scheme including any multi skilled role in accordance with the relevant competence framework Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly production activities on the platform, ensuring the facility achieves the required integrity and efficiency standards to reach targeted hydrocarbon production targets Ensure platform operations are consistently delivered within relevant regulatory consent limits Ensure all members of the production team achieve outstanding performance in meeting company targets of HSE and efficiency Demonstrate excellent safety behaviours at all times and ensure company safety aspirations are communicated and maintained Ensure safe operating practices are maintained during all operations Contribute to managing and delivering emergency response actions in the event of accidents or incidents under the direction of OIM or other relevant persons Responsible for first line operations fault finding and maintenance Ensure safe shutdown, isolation and blowdown of relevant plant during emergency situations Encourage defect elimination and continuous improvement principles to maximise production efficiencies and avoid unplanned shutdowns and production losses Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor such as taking part in training, developing new recruits, preparing necessary reports, plant shutdown and start-up procedures, etc Ensure appropriate management of change process are followed when operating or maintaining plant equipment Conduct role of Area Authority delegate or Area Authority as required by site management in support of safe system of work Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success Progress towards being competent Control Room Operator (CRO) to provide cover Carry out watch keeping duties when required to ensure integrity and stability of operations is maintained Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will safely increase efficiency in production, cost or time without loss of integrity Take fluid samples and conduct analysis as required by regulations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:



Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Repsol's HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System Be familiar with, and follow, the Repsol Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate Actively participate and support all Repsol and PFM Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following: Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified Report all accidents and incidents Carry out Emergency Response duties as required by site Carry out competency assessments as required by company Recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent Level 3 NVQ - Processing Operations - Hydrocarbons or equivalent Level 3 NVQ - Maintaining Plant & Systems or working towards ISSOW Level 2 Advanced Gas Tester Level 1 Mechanical Isolation Authority Trained in Chemist duties preferred Mandatory safety, medical regulatory regulations for travel working offshore UKCS L&D 9DI or equivalent Strong oral and active-listening communication skills with an ability to work in harmony with colleagues across different organisation levels and disciplines Flexibility and willingness to adapt essential Able to work under pressure in high stress situations, with an aptitude for clear and logical thinking Ability to work on own initiative with self imposed quality control standards to prearranged deadlines Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices, embraces change and continual improvement Computer literate with a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Working Maximo, Eworks and Synergi knowledge and understanding Relevant operational experience in a COMAH operational site Demonstrable understanding of process safety and major accident hazard (MAH) prevention Understanding of production loss elimination and production optimisation Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and ability to apply it in the workplace Control Room Operator (CRO) Controlling Emergencies and Critical Situations (Coaching Assessment) (OPITO) preferred
