Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Technician/Setter to join our team, who will play a key roll in operating and maintaining our sachet production line to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Duties



? Set up and calibrate machines for production orders. ? Carry out machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime. ? Inspect and maintain machinery before, during, and after production runs. ? Monitor machine performance and optimise efficiency. ? Follow all site safety protocols and safe working practices. ? Keep accurate records of settings, maintenance and repairs. ? Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning. ? Complete machine changeovers efficiently and accurately, particularly for size changes. ? Starting up, running, and shutting down machines. ? Operating and maintaining machinery from VFFS and HFFS to Ultrasonic and hot air tube sealers. ? Ensuring product quality meets customer specifications and promptly addressing any defects. ? Troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns or stoppages, escalating issues when required. ? Recording accurate production and quality data. ? Cleaning and conducting routine maintenance on machinery. ? Ensure efficient running of machines and identify areas for improvement ? Comply with all relevant Health, safety, Environmental & COSHH requirements ? Carry out activities in line with Company procedures and process standard work ? Identify improvements ? Set up and adjust machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality. ? Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments for efficiency and quality. ? Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the production process. ? Document machine settings and adjustments for quality control purposes. ? Train new operators on machinery and best practices for operation and safety.

Requirements



? Experience in a similar role within food production or manufacturing is preferred. ? Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively. ? Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a food production environment. ? Excellent attention to detail to maintain product quality standards. ? Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. ? Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues. ? Flexible, proactive approach and a willingness to learn and develop. ? Reliable team player with a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards. ? Experience in a production or manufacturing environment. ? team player with good communication skills and high attention to detail. ? Technical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. ? Awareness of health and safety practices.

Skills & Qualifications:



? Previous experience as a Machine Setter, Machine Operator or similar is essential. ? Mechanically minded. ? Good knowledge of machine operations, maintenance and safety procedures. ? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. ? Able to read technical manuals, blueprints and diagrams. ? Basic knowledge of hand tools and maintenance techniques. ? Physically fit with good stamina and able to lift/move 10-12kg. ? Strong communication skills and teamworking attitude. ? Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. ? Leadership qualities. ? Calm under pressure.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
