The Role
We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Production & Test Technician to join our manufacturing team. You'll be assembling and testing high-performance electro-mechanical systems, ensuring every product meets the rigorous standards our customers rely on.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test components into final products using SOPs, engineering drawings, and specialist tools.
Diagnose and repair customer returns to meet build standards.
Carry out stage inspections to verify product quality and performance.
Conduct functional testing of circuit boards using test jigs, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to verify performance and identify faults.
Perform precise hand soldering of surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole (THT) components on PCBs using detailed work instructions.
Safely and effectively operate soldering and rework equipment, including soldering irons, desoldering tools, and microscopes.
Perform thorough visual inspections of solder joints and assemblies to identify and correct issues such as solder bridges, cold joints, voids, and misaligned components.
Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and health & safety regulations.
Work closely with Engineering teams to resolve production challenges and refine processes.
Maintain a safe, organised workspace in line with 6S and safety protocols.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production and testing.
What You'll Bring

Experience in a production or test environment (battery or electronics experience is a plus)
Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing, ideally within a high-reliability or regulated industry such as automotive, aerospace, defence, or electronics manufacturing.
Confident soldering PCBs and using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and verify circuit board functionality.
Have a methodical approach to problem-solving and fault diagnosis.
Comfortable working from technical drawings and documentation.
