Salary:
Starting at 32,268 per annum including night shift premium, which could rise to 41,070 per annum including night shift premium, after successful completion of three levels of training
Schedule:
12 hour shifts, working both days and nights
46 hours per week, Monday to Thursday
The role:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our technical team to work 12 hour shifts - both days and nights, on a rotation pattern of a week of days, followed by a week of nights - with hours split across Monday to Thursday, meaning no weekend work is required. Also, there are regular overtime opportunities, if desired. The Thermoforming Technician, reporting to the Shift Manager, is required to accurately record production data, perform tool changes, start up machines, make necessary process adjustments and troubleshoot production runs to ensure the thermoforming machines are running within specified parameters. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working as part of a team and be able to use their initiative when working alone. Responsibilities will include:
Working in accordance with the company's health and safety and manufacturing practice
Performing product changeovers, setups and run established tooling to the manufacturing specification
Producing quality product in line with our customer expectations
Machine safety checks and checks of equipment before use
Process monitoring and inspection of ancillary equipment, including internal & external machine housekeeping
Ensuring that raw material waste is kept to a minimum
Completion of all production documentation
Regular and effective communication with the team, shift manager and other departments
Take a full active part in all aspects of training
Essential Skills and Experience:
Ability to work alone and accurately record data
Previous experience in setting/adjusting machines and/or mechanical knowledge would be advantageous
Excellent attention to detail
