The Transformation Manager will drive operational change across a Part 21G production facility, improving production space, layout, and flow, while leading the transition of selected activities from in-house delivery to approved subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead site transformation activities to improve production layout, space utilisation, workflow, and operational efficiency.
Plan and deliver changes to manufacturing operations in compliance with Part 21G and internal governance requirements.
Identify, scope, and manage the transfer of selected in-house activities to approved subcontractors.
Coordinate with cross functional stakeholders including Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Compliance.
Ensure continuity of quality, safety, and product conformity during all transformation and outsourcing activities.
Develop and maintain transformation plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and address issues to minimise disruption to ongoing operations.
Support change management and communication with affected teams.
Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Contribute to capacity planning and future site development activities.
Support internal and external audits related to Part 21G changes and subcontracted activities.
Provide input to business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and investment proposals.
Support performance monitoring of subcontractors in collaboration with Quality and Supply Chain.
Capture lessons learned and best practices to support ongoing transformation efforts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in production layout optimisation, workflow improvement, or industrial engineering
Solid understanding of quality compliance, and configuration control in aerospace manufacturing
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
