Production Operative

Full Time, Permanent

24,000 to 30,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications).

Nextday Steel are the UK's leading online supplier, specialising in making and developing steel reinforcement products for the construction industry.

Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, you will be play a key role in the efficient and effective production of our steel reinforcement products through the manufacturing process

Role Purpose:

The role in associated operations such forklift driving and inventory tasks.

Main Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operating factory machinery and equipment to gain maximum productivity and efficiency, always striving to ensure effectiveness is maintained

Ensure the accurate and efficient loading and unloading of all consignments, with the correct procedures and paperwork being completed and on time for incoming and outgoing goods

Ensure all company legislative Health & Safety regulations and policies are fully observed and are of the utmost priority.

Hours

We operate Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm. We are looking for a permanent team member.

About You

Preferably you have 3 years' experience in a similar role

Be willing to assist and learn from a multi-disciplined team in a fast moving environment.

Continuously look to develop and improve key work processes; develop better, faster more efficient ways of doing things.

Willing to assist team colleagues in day-to-day administrative duties as required and reasonable duties as arising, as specified by the Production Team Leader

Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate precisely both in writing and verbally at all levels

Be able to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team
