Professional Artic Driver
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and professional articulated lorry driver to operate scheduled runs between the Manchester area and Dublin Port. This role involves overnight stays, strict adherence to delivery schedules, and ensuring all loads are transported safely, securely, and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out regular Manchester-Dublin Port return runs
Ensure timely and safe delivery/collection of goods
Complete vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, driving hours, and fuel usage
Adhere to all EU and UK driving regulations, including tachograph compliance
Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
Requirements:
Valid UK CE (Class 1) licence
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 2 years' experience in long-haul or international driving
Experience with ferry procedures and cross-border documentation preferred
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the transport office
Desirable:
Familiarity with Dublin Port procedures
Previous experience in Irish/UK freight routes
Flexibility with working hours and overnight stays
