This role is for bank staff to cover any sickness or extra work the business may take on.

For this role you would need to have the capability to cover last minute shifts too in terms of sickness.

Bank staff have first priority over new positions and set hours as and when they would become available based on good performance.

This work will be in and around Sunderland but reliability is expected.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean environment, particularly in settings that involve children and families. This position requires a strong understanding of child welfare and the ability to manage various situations with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities

Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas, including classrooms, play areas, and common spaces. Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties. Collaborate with staff to maintain a welcoming environment for children and families. Respond effectively to crises or emergencies, utilizing crisis intervention techniques as needed. Assist in the implementation of child protective services protocols when necessary. Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information related to children and families.

Skills

Experience working with children in various capacities, including childcare or social work. Strong knowledge of child welfare practices and family law principles. Proficient in crisis management and conflict resolution strategies. Understanding of behavioral health issues as they relate to children and families. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. This Cleaner position is essential for fostering a safe and nurturing environment for children, requiring both practical cleaning skills and an understanding of the unique needs of families in our care.
Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
