Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of Dogs, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal care and customer service to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The dog Groomer will work closely with pet owners to deliver customised grooming solutions, contributing to the overall wellbeing and appearance of our furry clients.

Responsibilities

Bathing, drying, and brushing animals to maintain cleanliness and coat health Trimming, clipping, and styling fur according to owners preference if needed or customer specifications Inspecting animals for signs of health issues or skin conditions and reporting concerns to owners Handling animals gently and confidently to minimise stress and ensure safety during grooming procedures Maintaining a clean and organised grooming station, including sanitising tools and equipment after each use Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and aftercare advice Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during grooming sessions

Skills

Level 3 Dog grooming qualification essential. Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to update this) Strong understanding of different coat types, breeds, and grooming techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment Compassionate approach towards animals, demonstrating patience and confidence in stressful situations Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and grooming quality Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Potential for more responsibility and salary should you be the right candidate be found

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour
