Professional Indemnity Underwriter



We have a great opportunity for a

full-time experienced PI Underwriter

to join our team. Are you someone with a strong underwriting background to provide technical leadership and support for Glemham Underwriting Ltd.

Our Underwriting Team are responsible for delivering an effective and professional 'market', for commercial brokers across the UK.

Responsibilities:



High quality underwriting to deliver a consistent top quality service to our clients and brokers Underwrite new or existing risks accurately and our underwriting agreements. Full understanding of the underwriting controls and service level procedures Maintain and develop strong business relationships Ensure all enquiries are dealt with promptly and to liaise with insurers to ensure that the right outcome is achieved.

Skills required:



Positive attitude with a 'can do' mentality, taking ownership of developing relationships. Organised, thorough and accurate, being proactive and efficient. Exceptional time management - prioritise and keep to deadlines. Ability to negotiate to achieve required outcome. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of technical knowledge

Experience:



Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting market. We would be interested to hear from candidates either from an insurer or broker environment.
