Internal Knowledge & Know-How

  • Monitor legal and market developments relevant to banking and finance.
  • Create, maintain, and automate standard documents and precedents.
  • Curate and manage knowledge repositories and intranet content.
  • Respond to technical queries from fee-earners.
  • Lead or contribute to knowledge projects across the firm.
Training & Development
  • Design and deliver engaging legal training for lawyers at all levels.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to maximise training formats.
  • Support fee-earners in preparing and delivering internal training sessions.
Business Development & Client Engagement
  • Contribute technical content to pitches, legal directories, and the firm's website.
  • Draft client briefings, blogs, and training materials on topical issues.
  • Participate in industry working groups and respond to legal consultations.
  • Support client relationships through content creation and direct engagement.
Strategic Practice Development
  • Inform strategic decisions about knowledge priorities within the practice.
  • Participate in firmwide initiatives related to legal tech, innovation, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation.
Become a go-to expert in leveraged finance law.Drive innovation in client content and training.
  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 2+ years' PQE in banking or leveraged finance.
  • Experience with market-standard documentation and current trends in European loan finance.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive and curious approach.
  • Interest in developing subject matter expertise and building internal/external networks.
A prestigious international law firm is seeking a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its Banking & Leveraged Finance team. The Team
The Banking & Leveraged Finance team is part of a wider financing group comprising partners, senior counsel, associates, and a dedicated PSL team. The group advises on:
  • Corporate lending
  • Leveraged and acquisition finance
  • Debt capital markets
  • Project finance
  • Securitisation and derivatives
  • Restructuring and insolvency
PSLs are integral to the group's success, each focusing on specific areas of finance. This role will have a particular emphasis on sub-investment grade, leveraged, and high-yield debt documentation and structures.
