Program Manager - Data Retention Program



Role Summary:



We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of a cross-functional Data Retention Program. This strategic initiative spans multiple business units and applications, aiming to ensure compliance with data retention and regulatory obligations. The Program Manager will take full ownership of the program delivery, stakeholder governance, and roadmap execution.



You will act as the central point of coordination between Legal, Risk, IT, Data Protection, and Business teams to ensure that program milestones are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.



Key Responsibilities:


Own and drive end-to-end delivery of the Data Retention Program across multiple workstreams. Maintain and manage the overall program roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines. Establish and lead governance structures, including regular steering committees and stakeholder meetings. Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies across teams, and implement mitigation plans. Monitor progress against key milestones, deliverables, and KPIs; ensure timely reporting and escalation. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, IT, and external vendors. Ensure clear and consistent communication of goals, progress, and decisions to senior stakeholders. Support change management, resource planning, and readiness tracking across the program. Oversee the integration of outputs from Business Analysts and technical teams into cohesive plans of action. Ensure delivery artifacts and program documentation meet audit and compliance standards.


Qualifications:


Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs, ideally within regulated industries. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead program governance. Deep understanding of data retention, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and compliance frameworks is a strong plus. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in fast-paced environments. Experience working with both business and technical teams, including Legal, Risk, and Data functions. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is advantageous.


Preferred Tools & Practices:


JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent for roadmap and task tracking PowerPoint & Excel for reporting and stakeholder updates RAID logs, RACI matrices, program dashboards


Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
