Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Divest Program Director to program direct a comprehensive program of multiple divestments over an 18-month period. This role is critical to the overall strategic objectives of the company, involving the divestiture of assets valued at over $2 billion across 38 countries. The program will impact numerous business units and necessitate coordination with multiple buyers.
The role requires good understanding of the commercial environment/industry to deliver against the divestment goals of the company. Requires an ability to build strong working relationships and have extensive experience in stakeholder management. Will input into strategic decisions to enable delivering the program.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Program and project Management: Manage the timeline, budget, and resources for the divestment program (portfolio of projects), ensuring all milestones are met within the 18-month period.
Problem Solving: Willingness to work with workstream leaders to investigate and develop solutions to problems across multiple disciplines
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with business units, buyers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions and mitigate risks.
Financial Oversight: Monitor and report on the financial aspects of the divestments, ensuring the program achieves its target of divesting over $2 billion in value.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful execution of the divestments.
Compliance: Ensure all divestments comply with local regulations in the 38 countries affected.
Communication: Maintain clear and ongoing communication with all stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success and progress of the divestment program.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a focus on divestments or mergers and acquisitions.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial analysis skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international business regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in the context of divestments.
Knowledge: good understanding of the fields of IT and Finance required
Travel: Willingness to travel internationally as needed to manage divestments in over 38 countries.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
