Job Description

Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to our vibrant and culturally diverse communities!

We have a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world and are proud to be recognised as the UK's first Borough of Sanctuary, for our work in championing the rights of refugees and migrants.

Introduction

Are you passionate about making a real difference in Lewisham's communities? Join our Strategic Housing Delivery and Partnership service--a team at the heart of delivering high-quality, affordable homes and shaping the borough's future. We are seeking talented development managers and a result-orientated programme administration to help drive forward our ambitious housing agenda.

What's the role?

As part of our newly restructured service, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of innovative housing solutions and ensuring the smooth running of complex programmes. Working alongside experienced colleagues and a wide range of partners, you will contribute your expertise to the successful delivery of our Building for Lewisham programme and other strategic initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where your creativity, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will have a direct impact on the lives of Lewisham's residents. If you thrive on challenge, enjoy working collaboratively, and are motivated by the chance to contribute to meaningful change, we want to hear from you.

What's in it for you?

Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:

Generous holiday allowance Local Government Pension scheme Flexible working and family friendly policies Season ticket and bicycle loans A range of staff discounts including local subsidised gym memberships Supportive staff networks

What we're looking for

You have a keen eye for detail and are expert in various productivity and resource management packages (particularly Microsoft 360 and Oracle), able to help coordinate projects, streamline processes, and provide essential business support. You might be just starting out in your career, but you have a good understanding of the housing development process and/or of the challenges facing local government housing delivery, and you're eager to learn. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is motivated by the chance to make a real difference in the community.
