GLL is looking for a Programme Assistant (Dance) to work at the Hub in Sleaford and across North Kesteven. If you have the skills, vision and ambition to join us as Programme Assistant (Dance), there's never been a more exciting time to join the Hub team.


As Programme Assistant (Dance) you will deliver a multi-functional role assisting with the delivery of the Hub's public, education and community dance programme. You will also be involved in supporting events and projects at the Hub, in Sleaford, at One NK In North Hykeham and occasionally across the North Kesteven District.


This is a NEW role in our organisation to support a period of maternity leave. You will provide a support role to the team across all areas of the Dance Programme through events like the Unify Festival, as well as initiatives such as Arts Award, Dance in Education and the Centre for Advanced Training. You will also be supporting our health and wellbeing initiatives for adults, older individuals, and people with disabilities through programmes like Contemporary Creative Dance, Dance for Parkinson's, Unify Adults & Youth.

10,512.02 per annum (full time equivalent 25,623.07)


Summary of what you'll do:


Support the delivery of the Hub's public, education and community dance programmes including research, administration, co-ordination and some hands-on delivery. Support the dance team to programme and deliver two major events - Unify Festival in December 2025 and True Motion in March 2026. Maintain good comprehensive knowledge of the dance programme and contribute ideas to help shape the development of new programmes and opportunities through active participation in team meetings. Liaise with freelance dance artists and facilitators to assist with planning and co-ordination of classes, ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date including risk assessments, sending contracts, following-up DBS checks etc. Respond to all education enquiries, liaising with the Dance Development Manager to organise the logistics and administer bookings and session facilitators. Complete finance tasks including raising purchase order and invoice requests. Complete and update dance class booking procedures through various online platforms.
Assist with monitoring and evaluating the Hub's Dance programmes, including monitoring feedback and evaluation to inform future planning, and using spreadsheets and online platforms to monitor and analyse participation and engagement of visitors, participants and artists. Encourage participants to complete audience surveys and share their feedback on their experience. Work closely with the Dance Development Manager and other colleagues to support the delivery of funded projects and events. Work with the marketing team to support social media campaigns with the aim of increasing awareness and attendance across all Dance programmes and events. Support and help to implement safeguarding policy and procedures. Support the dance programme with established timeframes, budgets and targets contributing to the delivery of the Hub business plan and the priorities and ambitions of North Kesteven District Council Arts Strategy and Arts Council England NPO requirements. Undertake training and CPD as required in order to meet personal and business needs. Undertake any other duties consistent with the role and as requested by the organisation.
