The TransPennine Express franchise will deliver transformational change including a significant number of complex, high value projects. We're looking for a dynamic and naturally organised Programme Controls Manager to play a critical role in the successful delivery of a suite of our major projects, including how we govern projects that fall into the Transpennine Route Upgrade. You'll be providing the project lifecycle, procedures and structure to Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to direct and control projects that ensure a smooth introduction and successful on-going operation of their projects into BAU within the business.



You will work closely with project teams, senior managers and other members of the PMO to champion best practices, drive quality control and manage risks, issues and change control processes. One of your first objectives will also be leading the roll out of our new Portfolio Management software tool and ensuring that this is smoothly transitioned into our governance model. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, capable of fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and leading the charge in setting programme management standards.



This role has line management responsibilities for two PMO Analysts.


About You:



Experience in programme or project management roles within a Major Projects environment Strong knowledge of project controls, risk management and change control processes Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships Expertise in quality assurance and compliance within a project management setting Ability to lead workshops, coach teams and drive the adoption of best practices Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce detailed reports and manage data effectively
